Background

Plumbing, electrics and home maintenance have traditionally been the presence of men. But fuelled by demand from women and older people who feel safer with female workers, Jo Behari set up Home Jane in 2006 from her kitchen table at home.

At first, Jo herself (she’d been taught by her father) carried out the work for clients, and over the last 6 years the company has slowly grown to a team of over 60 fully qualified tradeswomen working across London and the Home Counties.

All the team are professionally trained and qualified, and join after full checks and references have been gathered.

We strive on doing a great job – offering a transparent and quality service. We don’t charge a call out fee, and with no big marketing budgets and no external funding, our success and growth will only come from doing a great job for people, and hoping they both use us again in the future, and that they recommend us to their friends.
